Gone to the beach

Just to let you know that I’ve gone to the beach. They have daylight there, and brightly coloured cocktails.

You might want to pass the time until the the next post by playing with a new toy: the excellent Google Ngram viewer, which tracks the frequency of words and phrases in published books over 200 years, a Talk Normal long view. Here’s the graph for one of my favourite weasel phrases of the moment, negative growth.

And, of course, you’ll want to have a look at my new blog, Fit to Bust, which is a transparent ploy to persuade you to buy my new book by engaging in the sort of uplifting debate we have here. I might update Fit to Bust while I’m away, but I’m sure you understand I may be distracted. See you soon.
